We trust that anyone familiar with E.A. Dion understands that Dion’s culture is one of reserved excellence. Therefore, we do not often publicize or promote the foundational principles on which our business is based. We do feel, however, that rapidly growing environmental and, in particular, product content concerns, as exemplified by California’s Proposition 65, deserve a clear communication of E.A. Dion’s position on these critical industry issues.
Corporate Citizenship
As an industry leader, E.A. Dion understands its responsibility to act as a good corporate citizen. Whether it is complying with local laws and regulations, demonstrating ethical business standards, mitigating risk to the environment, or protecting human rights, E.A. Dion is committed to its social responsibility. Corporate citizenship is at the core of Dion's business strategy - in the way we interact with suppliers, distributors, partners, governments and employees. As a company, we are committed to sustainable development through environmental protection, social responsibility and economic progress.
Product Stewardship
Dion's corporate citizenship efforts focus around the product and all aspects that relate to the manufacture of our products. This Product Stewardship starts with our work, which is our inspiration and bond. If we speak it, we do it. We walk the talk.
Stewardship is more than E.A. Dion’s vision for the future. It is made up of actions that Dion has implemented to demonstrate the veracity of our words while we search to identify and integrate future initiatives. The spirit of our commitment is represented in our five primary areas of focus.
Lean Manufacturing Practices - “Lean” is a manufacturing philosophy dedicated to the elimination of waste throughout the production process through continuous improvement.
The “No Dirty Gold” Campaign - Dion is considering joining other leading members of the jewelry industry such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Birks & Meyers, Hoover & Strong, Van Cleef & Arpels and more in supporting the “No Dirty Gold” campaign, which is working to ensure that gold mining operations respect human rights and the environment (read more by clicking here - No Dirty Gold Campaign.
Memorandum of Understanding - This is a vendor partner agreement requiring our vendors to conform to standards of business practices which are consistent with Dion’s corporate values. To view the entire Memorandum of Understanding, click here - Memorandum of Understanding.

Dion deals with only countries and suppliers actively complying with the standards of the United Nations Kimberley Process (www.KimberleyProcess.com) regulating the importing/exporting of government validated diamonds from a source free of conflict. Dion also sources Conflict-Free Diamonds which expands the United Nations' definition of conflict diamonds.
