Capabilities

Performs a wide range of electroplating processes to obtain finishes on a variety of parts and metals following standardized methods and procedures. Maintain plating solutions according to formula. Works from drawings, specifications, work orders and instructions to obtain desired finishes. Checks condition of solutions and parts to produce optimum plating results. Rejects unacceptable parts.

This role also requires the acquisition of important safety knowledge regarding the hazards and protocols needed to perform plating processes and maintenance safely and appropriately. Mishandling chemicals can have severe consequences not only to you but to the health of those around you.

Qualifications

  • Previous plating experience.
  • Basic Computer literacy with Excel, Outlook, and Word and able to work within our manufacturing software program.
  • Able to lift and move 30-40lbs boxes on regular basis.
  • Fluent in English – written and verbal.
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Some familiarity with operating manufacturing machinery
  • Able to develop effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to learn and judge acceptable quality parameters quickly.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to learn from and take ownership of mistakes.
  • Educational requirements:
    • Minimum of High School or GED
  • Non-essential preferred experience
  • Experience in Jewelry Industry
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts.
