Job Description

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Time: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 30 minute lunch
 

Reports to:

  • Production Manager and department lead

Capacities:

 Support all activities in Stamp Department:
  • Perform Press operation and setup
  • Responsible for high quality output
  • Tool and equipment maintenance
  • Cross train to other departments
  • This is a High Variety-Low Volume environment. Applicants must be able to adapt to a dynamic work environment where demands and skills are continually changing.

  • Continually improve own professional knowledge and skill sets
  • Develop and support highly functional and collaborative relationships with senior staff as well key stakeholders and influencers in the organization
  • Continually seek out best-known methods, new ways of thinking and encourage others to do so
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals
  • Clearly communicate expectations to stakeholders
  • Engage in and support cross-training process and succession planning
  • Participate in daily standup meeting with team
  • Adhere to procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds goals

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Basic computer literacy with Excel, Outlook and Word and able to work within our manufacturing software program
  • Able to lift and move 30-40lbs boxes on regular basis
  • Fluent in English – written and verbal
  • Excellent Problem solving skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Follow written and verbal instruction
  • Some familiarity with operating manufacturing machinery
  • Able to develop effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to learn and judge acceptable quality parameters quickly
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to learn from and take ownership of mistakes
  • Educational requirements:
    • Minimum of High School or GED
  • Non essential preferred experience:
    • Past experience in Jewelry Industry
    • Past experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts
    • Past experience operating hydraulic and pneumatic presses
